What betterbom is

betterbom is a weather website operated by an Australian-registered business. Forecasts are blended from Open-Meteo (which includes BOM ACCESS-G as a model input), ECMWF, and GFS. Radar imagery is sourced from RainViewer. See /legal/data-sources for the full attribution.

What you can do

• Use the site for personal weather information, free.
• Link to forecast pages from anywhere.
• Share screenshots on social media — please leave the "betterbom" attribution visible.

What you can't do

• Scrape betterbom pages to build a competing product. Use the API instead.
• Republish BOM warning text in a modified form. Warning text on this site is presented verbatim from BOM and must be displayed verbatim if you redistribute it.
• Pretend that betterbom is an emergency service. It isn't. For life-threatening emergencies, dial 000.

No warranty

Weather forecasts are inherently uncertain. betterbom presents the best available data with timestamps and source attribution, but we make no guarantees about the accuracy of any specific forecast or the timeliness of any specific warning. See /legal/disclaimer for details.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, betterbom is not liable for any decision you make based on information presented here. If a warning is critical to safety, cross-check with the Bureau of Meteorology directly at bom.gov.au.

Changes

We may update these terms. Significant changes will be announced on the homepage at least 14 days in advance.
